I have registered for my 1st tri and have no idea what attire is recommended?  after the swim, do i just throw some shorts and shirt over my swim suit or what??  please help!!

Congratulations on signing up!  Which event are you doing?  As far as your attire goes I think the most important thing you can do is practice in whatever you are going to wear.  In other words, don't try anything new on raceday.  Are you male or female?  The reason I ask is that depending what suit you have you want to make sure you don't get chafed on the bike and run.   For my first tri, I had a pair of tri or compression shorts I bought and I just threw on a t-shirt when I got out of the water and it was fine.  Remember you will have to wear your number attached to that shirt for the run so you either need to pin it loosely with the safety pins they will provide at the race or buy a race belt (less than $10).  It's just an elastic belt that you can attach your number to and clip around your waist when you are ready. 

On a club note, if you are interested in coming to one of our monthly meetings, you will meet a bunch of people who are more than willing to answer questions for you and share their experiences.  We would love to have to come as a guest and see if the club might be right for you.  We had a meeting last night so the next one won't be until next month.
